Tales Home is a storytelling app for the whole family. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app, and we never sell your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account details: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo so we can create and secure your account.
Activity in the app: stories you open, your reading and listening progress, favorites, and ratings — so we can resume where you left off and recommend stories.
Device and diagnostic data: basic technical information (app version, device type, crash logs) that helps us keep the app stable.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information beyond what is listed here.
How we use your information
To provide the core experience: signing you in, saving your library and progress, and syncing it across your devices.
To send notifications you have opted into, such as a reminder or a new featured story.
To understand which stories are popular and improve the app.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Children's privacy
Tales Home is designed to be family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from a child than is needed to participate in the app, and accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent or guardian.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Services we rely on
We use trusted providers to run the app: Google and Apple for sign-in, Expo for push notifications, and (on mobile) RevenueCat to process any subscriptions. These providers handle limited data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
We share personal information with these providers only as needed to operate the service, and never to sell it.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information except where we are required to keep limited records by law.
Your choices and rights
You can review or update your profile, turn notifications off in your device settings, and request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
